Our Interns

Sheila Garcia Bacilio

Sheila Garcia developed an early interest in the great outdoors. She grew up spending her weekends and summers familiarizing herself with the beauty of nature. Having explored many pristine places, she developed her passion of conserving them. Her curiosity sparked and she began pursuing cultural anthropology and environmental science at California Baptist University where she received her degree in BA Cultural Anthropology. This past summer she was the Communication Assistant for the Chesapeake Bay Gateways & Watertrails Network where she researched the best practices for engaging Latinx communities in the parks. In her free time, she loves to take spontaneous road trips with her family, visit nurseries, and camp throughout all of the seasons!
