America’s Voice for Conservation, Recreation and Preservation Coalition Calls for Increased Funding for Public Lands in FY18 Budget

Category: News Releases

Earlier this week Hispanic Access as part of the America’s Voice for Conservation, Recreation, and Preservation Coalition sent a letter to Congress requesting additional funding to support the conservation protection of America’s wildlife, lands and water and the associated economic and recreational benefits.

Maite Arce, President and Founder of Hispanic Access released the following statement:

“Our public lands tell the diverse stories and histories of this nation’s natural and cultural heritage. The success of our national parks, wildlife refuges, and other public lands to best serve this purpose and our communities is hindered by a lack of funding. At a time when visitation is at an all-time high and growing, Congress must ensure that our land management agencies have the resources necessary to properly care for these lands so that future generations are given the opportunity to enjoy the beauty of these places.”
