Alex Santillana and Mar Muñoz-Visoso assume these leadership roles at a pivotal moment for Hispanic Access Foundation. Together, they will play a critical role in guiding the Board of Directors and the organization to its next level of impact and influence. Building on the strong foundation established by past board leaders, they bring fresh vision, strategic insight, and deep commitment to advancing Hispanic Access’s mission. Their leadership will deepen the organization’s reach, strengthen community-driven initiatives, and position Latino leadership as a powerful force for national progress in the years ahead.

As Board Chair, Santillana will provide visionary leadership to the Board of Directors, ensuring alignment with the organization’s mission and long-term strategic goals. He will work closely with President and CEO Maite Arce as a key thought partner and liaison between the board and staff, lead board meetings, strengthen board engagement, support committee effectiveness, advance fundraising efforts, and serve as an ambassador for Hispanic Access with partners and stakeholders nationwide.
As Vice-Chair, Muñoz-Visoso will support the Board Chair in providing leadership and continuity across the organization. She will play a key role in guiding strategic priorities, fostering board engagement, and ensuring committees remain aligned and effective. Muñoz-Visoso will also serve as a trusted partner to both the Chair and organizational leadership, stepping in to lead meetings or represent the board when needed, while contributing to fundraising efforts and acting as an ambassador with key partners and stakeholders.
Together, Santillana and Muñoz-Visoso will help lead a Board of Directors that shapes Hispanic Access’s strategic direction, strengthens partnerships, and expands the organization’s ability to cultivate Latino leaders and build thriving communities across the country.
