Bridging the Funding Gap for Latino-led Organizations
Latinos make up nearly 20% of the U.S. population and contribute significantly to the country’s cultural and economic vitality. Latino-led and Latino-serving community organizations play an essential role in meeting local needs and driving positive change. Many operate with lean, high-performing teams who balance program delivery, outreach, operations, and fundraising. Access to efficient, streamlined grant tools can help these organizations continue to expand their impact. In 2022, Hispanic/Latino-serving organizations received 0.26% of all charitable giving—highlighting the opportunity for increased investment in this dynamic sector.
Hispanic Access’ Community Navigator Program (CNP) is designed to meet that opportunity by providing culturally responsive, trust-based support that connects community-based organizations (CBOs) to grant opportunities and capacity-building resources at no cost. Since its launch in 2023, CNP has supported 943 CBOs across all 50 states and Puerto Rico through training workshops, cohort programs, and individualized technical assistance. This partnership-driven model has helped communities secure more than $4.5 million in funding, fueling job creation, expanding program reach, and strengthening the impact of local initiatives.
Instrumentl: Expanding Tools for Success
Through this new partnership, CNP participants will receive discounted access to Instrumentl, a leading grant discovery and management platform. This tool equips organizations to:
- Identify grant opportunities that align with their mission
- Streamline grant tracking, deadlines, and application processes
- Increase grant-writing confidence and funding success
By integrating Instrumentl into CNP, Hispanic Access ensures that Latino-led CBOs have the digital infrastructure and technical support needed to maximize funding opportunities and enhance organizational resilience.
A Commitment to Community Impact
“Through this partnership with Instrumentl, we are expanding what’s possible for Latino-led organizations,” said Magali Robinson, Director of the Community Navigator program. “Our Community Navigator Program was created to remove barriers, and access to high-quality grant tools is a game-changer for leaders already doing incredible work. This partnership isn’t just about finding grants — it’s about building the capacity and confidence organizations need to grow in an increasingly competitive environment.
Julie Bain-Kim, CMO at Instrumentl shared: “We’re excited to partner with Hispanic Access to expand funding pathways for Latino-led organizations. Instrumentl brings the full grant lifecycle into one grants operating system, helping CNP participants move faster, stay organized, and build confidence from opportunity discovery through post-award management.”
Instrumentl becomes a powerful addition to the resources we provide, helping leaders gain knowledge, strengthen their strategies, and advance their missions. Latino-led organizations already deliver extraordinary impact. Together with Instrumentl, we’re ensuring they have every opportunity to secure the investment and support they deserve.”
