“Today represents a moment of transition and opportunity for our nation. At Hispanic Access Foundation, we remain unwavering in our commitment to addressing the critical challenges facing Latino communities. This new administration provides an opportunity to advance collaborative, innovative solutions that will impact every aspect of our lives—from promoting economic prosperity and enhancing access to nature to expanding opportunities in education and healthcare.
“Latinos are integral to the fabric of America’s success, driving growth and innovation across the nation. Collectively, we contribute over $3.6 trillion annually to the U.S. economy. Hispanic-owned businesses employ more than 3 million people, generating over $124 billion in annual payroll. Our community’s contributions extend far beyond economics; Latinos have been a cornerstone of the country’s labor market and cultural vitality.
“Yet, our community continues to face systemic challenges. Latinos are disproportionately impacted by environmental hazards, such as wildfires, flooding, and pollution. Economic disparities persist, with Latino households earning and holding significantly less wealth compared to their non-Latino counterparts. Health inequities also remain, with higher rates of chronic illnesses like diabetes and obesity exacerbated by barriers to preventive care and health education.
“As we move forward together, it is critical that the voices, needs, and aspirations of Latino communities are considered. Hispanic Access Foundation is committed to ensuring that our contributions to the nation are matched in opportunity, prosperity, and a better quality of life. We believe in a stronger, united future where every community has the chance to thrive.”
