“I'm thrilled to continue my journey at this esteemed organization, where I've had the privilege to grow and follow my passion for serving the Latino community,” said Neuenschwander. “The Latino community faces multiple language, cultural, economic, and systemic barriers that impede their personal and professional development; I want to help break down those barriers."

Neuenschwander will help shape the program’s vision, steer Hispanic Access programs toward becoming a model of excellence, and provide the program teams with resource support, thought leadership, administrative tools, analysis, motivation, and development. In addition to overseeing program evaluation, quality control data tracking, reporting, and identifying opportunities for program expansion.

“Michelle is very passionate about empowering and elevating the Latino community,” said Maite Arce, president and CEO of Hispanic Access. “She has proven her ability to establish and nurture relationships with diverse stakeholders, including community members, organizations, and funders, and has excellent decision-making skills and the ability to provide strategic direction.”

Neuenschwander holds a bachelor’s degree in public health from George Mason University. She joined Hispanic Access as an intern, answering a national helpline for Spanish speakers seeking community resources. Since then, she has held a variety of roles within the organization. She previously served as the Director of Finance Programs and managed one of Hispanic Access’ largest tax-education programs, implementing over 500 workshops in 18 cities across the U.S. Before that, she served as the Associate Director of Health Programs and led a national cancer education and screening program in several low-income Latino neighborhoods.
