In their role, they will review grant proposals to verify they align with the organization's mission and strategic priorities, manage a portfolio of grantees, and provide ongoing support, guidance, and technical assistance as needed, so grantees can adhere to grant agreements and comply with reporting requirements. They will also serve as the primary point of contact for grant-related inquiries.

“Marilyn and Arnoldo are very passionate individuals with extensive grant managing experience,” said Maite Arce, president and CEO of Hispanic Access. “They have the background, academic knowledge, and community work experience necessary to foster new relationships, build capacity in existing community collaboratives with faith leaders, youth, and other local stakeholders across the country, and help ensure the successful launch of Hispanic Access' new program."

Arnoldo Mata has worked for more than 30 years in the nonprofit, municipal, and university fields, working as an administrator, grant writer, and program manager.

Marilyn Saenz earned a Bachelor of Arts degree in both Sociology and English from St. Mary’s University, she also serves as co-founder of an agroforestry and sustainable asset management firm and has over six years of experience in the nonprofit sector working in socio-economic programs serving Latino, low-income, and at-risk youth populations.

Hispanic Access’ Forestry Program manages pass-through grants and oversees programming designed to increase equitable access to trees and green spaces and the many benefits they provide, focusing on disadvantaged communities.
