Christine Tamara is being elevated to Chief of Networks, in which she will play a crucial role in the development, engagement, expansion, diversity, and strategic direction of the organization's network ecosystem. She was previously the Director of the Partner Engagement program at Hispanic Access. She holds a bachelor’s degree in modern languages and she is a certified coach in faith, work, economics, pastoral advocacy, and poverty alleviation.
"Six years ago, I started my relationship-fostering and partnership engagement journey as a Hispanic Access consultant and then as the Director of Partnership Engagement, fostering relationships through leading our Hispanic Leadership Network and providing much-needed and relevant leadership development for clergy across the United States and Puerto Rico," said Tamara. "I recently read a quote by Dr. Leonard Sweet, ‘The essence of leadership is relationship; influencing people to achieve things together that can’t be achieved alone.’ As I start my new chapter as Chief of Networks, I am committed to cultivating and growing relationships with current and new team members, network leaders, and partners."
Karina Meza is being elevated to the Chief of Communications position, previously holding the role of Director of Communications at Hispanic Access. In her role, she will be responsible for developing and implementing comprehensive communication strategies aligned with the organization's goals and objectives and establishing clear branding. She has a bachelor's degree in Communications with a concentration in Public Relations from the University of Maryland, College Park.
“As an immigrant in the United States, I began my journey with Hispanic Access Foundation in hopes of being a part of an organization that helped the Latino community,” said Meza. “I am grateful and honored to embark on this journey as the Chief of Communications for Hispanic Access Foundation. I’m committed to amplifying the voices that are often unheard but who enrich our community. Through our storytelling of current and future network members, I hope to harness the power of communication to build bridges, celebrate diversity, and create a lasting impact for the organization."
Luke Argleben is being elevated to the Chief of Development, previously holding the title of Director of Development at Hispanic Access. In his role, he will be responsible for driving and overseeing the organization's fundraising efforts and overall development strategy, which includes corporate, foundation, government, and individual donor outreach. Argleben studied Environmental Biology and Chemistry at Christopher Newport University, where he graduated magna cum laude.
"Simon Sinek explains that leadership is not a rank or position to be attained, it is a service to be given,” said Argleben. “It is an honor and a privilege to be asked to join the leadership team as the Chief Development Officer. Five years ago when I started my fundraising journey, I couldn't imagine myself in this seat. Even a year ago I wasn't certain I had ‘what it takes’ to be a chief. After an eventful and successful year, I feel ready to answer the call to serve, understanding that it is a huge responsibility, and I am excited to bring a new perspective to the table.”
Tamara, Meza, and Argleben have been instrumental in the unprecedented growth of Hispanic Access, leading their departments to greatly increase their scope and helping the organization’s positive impact on the lives of thousands of Latino families. They will join the current leadership team of Maite Arce, Chief Executive Officer; Robert Fanger, Chief of Operations; David Armijo, Chief of Programs and Jesse Rodriguez, Chief of Finance.
